8 rounds of treatment are planned at the Manukau Oncology Institute; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Lily was diagnosed with kidney cancer in June. The oncology team at the Manukau Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Lily is 27, worked as a farmer until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Manukau Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $7,100 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,150 • Scans and lab work: $700 • Transport to the Manukau Oncology Institute: $1,000 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $270 • Household costs while unable to work: $980 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure. - Evelyn
