Standing with Leon: stomach cancer treatment costs
Leon is facing stomach cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Leon was diagnosed with stomach cancer in March. The oncology team at the Munich Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Leon is 29, worked as a tailor until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Munich Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $2,400 goes:
• Transport to the Munich Oncology Institute: $750
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $490
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,160

Is transport to the Munich Oncology Institute the biggest cost or is there more coming?
Sure. The biggest one is transport to the Munich Oncology Institute, $750. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. It helps to be asked.
