Standing with Jade: colon cancer treatment costs
Supporting Jade through colon cancer: medication, transport to Lethbridge University Hospital, and living costs while She can't work.
🇨🇦 Alberta, Canada1,523 views
Jade was diagnosed with colon cancer in September. The oncology team at Lethbridge University Hospital has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Jade is 45, worked as a primary school teacher until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Lethbridge University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $8,050 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,650
• Scans and lab work: $840
• Transport to Lethbridge University Hospital: $690
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $580
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,290
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

You're not alone, Cameron. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from Mérida.
thanks for sharing this, Cameron. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Greetings from Kharkiv.
Rooting for you. Your post was clear and honest. My husband and I read this together. Blessings
I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. After 24 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything
shared this with my family. Greetings from Brooklyn.
