Standing with Ian: non-Hodgkin lymphoma treatment costs
Supporting Ian through non-Hodgkin lymphoma: medication, transport to Springfield Regional Medical Center, and living costs while He cannot work.
🇺🇸 Illinois, United States297 views
In August I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. My oncology team at Springfield Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in November. I was told to expect about 7 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 42, I worked as a bus conductor until August, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Springfield Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $6,400 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $720
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $5,000
• Transport to Springfield Regional Medical Center: $680
I hope life is good to you.

Shared this with my family. My husband and I read this together. Thinking of Springfield.
Sending love. This could happen to any of us. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Ian
Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team is $720 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. I'll keep the page updated.
Good luck, Ian. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Blessings.
Hope it all works out, Ian. This could happen to any of us. Don't give up
Hope things get better soon. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Wish I lived closer to Fort Worth so I could bring a meal. Take care.
praying for you. This could happen to any of us. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. God bless.
Wishing you the best. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. God bless.
