Regensburg
In May I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. My oncology team at Regensburg University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in August. I was told to expect about 5 weeks away from work. I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 29, I worked as a primary school teacher until May, and I have been the main earner for my household. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Regensburg University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly. My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $6,900 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,050 • Scans and lab work: $1,200 • Transport to Regensburg University Hospital: $790 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $240 • Household costs while unable to work: $620 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot. - Greta

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Greta

Chemotherapy and medication not covered is $4,050 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Fair thing to want to know.

  • Best of luck, Greta. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Blessings.

    • is there anything that isn't money that would help Greta?

          • sending good thoughts, Greta. Hope you get there. After 13 years in engineering I know how hard it is to ask for anything. God bless.
