Favour was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in June. The oncology team at Abuja Cancer Centre has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Favour is 45, worked as a bakery worker until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Abuja Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,150 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $510 • Scans and lab work: $195 • Transport to Abuja Cancer Centre: $140 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $50 • Household costs while unable to work: $255 Thank you so much.
