Standing with Brian: non-Hodgkin lymphoma treatment costs
Supporting Brian through non-Hodgkin lymphoma: medication, transport to Los Angeles Regional Medical Center, and living costs while He cannot work.
🇺🇸 United States1,508 views
In December I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. My oncology team at Los Angeles Regional Medical Center has planned 12 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in April. I was told to expect about 12 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 28, I worked as a bus conductor until December, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Los Angeles Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $3,050 goes:
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,350
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $460
• Scans and lab work: $1,240
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
