Coventry
Anthony was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in March. The oncology team at the Coventry Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in May. He will be away from work for about 6 weeks. Anthony is 34, worked as a farmer until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Coventry Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $7,950 goes: • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $390 • Scans and lab work: $750 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,000 • Transport to the Coventry Oncology Institute: $810 Thanks for reading all this. - Wesley

Hope things get better soon, Wesley. Get well soon. Put this on a community board in Tuxtla Gutiérrez this morning.

        • Keep going. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like

Thanks for sharing this, Wesley. Hope the doctors have good news. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
