Standing with Anisur: prostate cancer treatment costs

Anisur is facing prostate cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Anisur was diagnosed with prostate cancer in December. The oncology team at Rajshahi Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in February. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Anisur is 33, worked as a shop owner until December, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Rajshahi Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $450 goes: • Scans and lab work: $130 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $55 • Transport to Rajshahi Regional Medical Center: $45 • Household costs while unable to work: $220 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to. - Popy

        • keep going. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Blessings

          • Good luck, Popy. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
