Amaka was diagnosed with stomach cancer in March. The oncology team at Awka University Hospital has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in May. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks. Amaka is 30, worked as a tailor until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Awka University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,700 goes: • Scans and lab work: $115 • Household costs while unable to work: $310 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,200 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $75 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support. - Queen

  3. Quick update: $156 raised so far (9%). the plan for household costs while unable to work is now scheduled. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
