Sivan needs my ride-share car repaired to get back to work in Jerusalem
Sivan drives for a living in Jerusalem, and a broken transmission has stopped all income for 3 weeks.
🇮🇱 Jerusalem, Jerusalem, Israel3,226 views
I make my living with my ride-share car. 3 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,050. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $170
• transmission replacement (parts): $620
• Labor charges: $260
Glad we found this place.

you're not alone. Hope you get there. My neighbor in Tacoma donated after I showed her your page
Can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Jerusalem
Thank you. If you're in Jerusalem I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great.
Good luck, Sivan. Hope this works out for you. Take care.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Sivan
Road tax and insurance renewal is $170 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. I'll keep the page updated.
Sending good thoughts, Sivan. Shared it with a few friends. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from Munich.
Thinking of you and your family. Small businesses are the heart of Jerusalem. Hope you're open again soon. My husband and I read this together. God bless.
