Sinan is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an agriculture degree at the Istanbul Institute of Technology, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $950. The registrar has said Sinan can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Sinan has a 3.6 average, and a department head has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Sinan would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Sinan isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $950 goes: • Exam and lab fees: $75 • Textbooks and materials: $55 • Final term tuition: $820 Thank you for reading my story. - Uğur
