Shweta needs someone who understands: peer support in recovery
Shweta is six months into recovery and would welcome a mentor with lived experience.

I'm six months into recovery from opioid addiction. I attend meetings and see a counselor, but the weeks between meetings are the hardest. I'd love a mentor - someone who has a year or more of recovery and who would be willing to talk once a week.
I'm not looking for a replacement for treatment. I'm looking for someone who understands what a bad Tuesday night feels like.
I'd prefer someone who's happy to do video calls. Any country is fine. I'll be respectful of your time and boundaries, and happy to pay it forward later.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

this could happen to any of us. Thinking of Sheffield
Thanks for sharing this. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Take care.

Thinking of you. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Love from Tel Aviv
Best of luck. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected!
So sorry you're going through this. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Love from Accra.
