Short-term room wanted: Seyi in Lagos
After my landlord selling the building, Seyi needs a safe, quiet room in Lagos for 4 months while getting back on their feet.

After my landlord selling the building, I'm temporarily without a home. I work as a line cook in Lagos and I have a steady income, but I can't find a place that will let me in without the first month, a deposit and references that I'm in the middle of replacing.
I'm looking for a spare room for 4 months. I can pay $55 a month toward bills, I'm tidy and quiet, and I'd be happy to help with cooking, shopping or yard work. I have no pets, I don't smoke, and I have three personal and work references.
I understand that inviting a stranger into your home is a big step. I'd be glad to meet in a public place first and to share my work details.
Thank you for reading my story.

Rooting for you, Seyi. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I have a 9 year old who wants to send good wishes too
Sending love, Seyi. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps
gave what I could, wish it was more. My husband and I read this together. Thinking of Lagos
Hope it all works out. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. All the best.
Thinking of you and your family. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Put this on a community board in Worcester this morning
