After my landlord selling the building, Lovely needs a safe, quiet room in Manila for 4 months while getting back on their feet.

After my landlord selling the building, I'm temporarily without a home. I work as a call-centre agent in Manila and I have a steady income, but I can't find a place that will let me in without the first month, a deposit and references that I'm in the middle of replacing. I'm looking for a spare room for 4 months. I can pay $50 a month toward bills, I'm tidy and quiet, and I'd be happy to help with cooking, shopping or yard work. I have no pets, I don't smoke, and I have three personal and work references. I understand that inviting a stranger into your home is a big step. I'd be glad to meet in a public place first and to share my work details. You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

  • You're not alone. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. God bless.

Sending love. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.

      • Thanks for sharing this, Lovely. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best.

        • thinking of you and your family, Lovely. This could happen to any of us. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
