Shakil needs a safe place to stay for 4 months
After leaving an abusive relationship, Shakil needs a safe, quiet room in Dhaka for 4 months while getting back on their feet.

After leaving an abusive relationship, I'm temporarily without a home. I work as a retail supervisor in Dhaka and I have a steady income, but I can't find a place that will let me in without the first month, a deposit and references that I'm in the middle of replacing.
I'm looking for a spare room for 4 months. I can pay $40 a month toward bills, I'm tidy and quiet, and I'd be happy to help with cooking, shopping or yard work. I have no pets, I don't smoke, and I have a landlord and employer references.
I understand that inviting a stranger into your home is a big step. I'd be glad to meet in a public place first and to share my work details.

Wishing you peace, Shakil. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Wish I lived closer to Half-Way Tree so I could bring a meal. All the best.
You're not alone. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My husband and I read this together. God bless
good luck, Shakil. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My neighbor in Los Angeles donated after I showed her your page.
