Shakil is four months into recovery and would welcome a mentor with lived experience.

Narayanganj
I'm four months into recovery from alcohol dependence. I attend meetings and see a counselor, but the weeks between meetings are the hardest. I'd love a mentor - someone who has a year or more of recovery and who would be willing to talk once a week. I'm not looking for a replacement for treatment. I'm looking for someone who understands what a bad Tuesday night feels like. I'd prefer someone who's happy to do video calls. Any country is fine. I'll be respectful of your time and boundaries, and happy to pay it forward later. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Keep going. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out
