Shailesh can't leave home - help build a ramp

Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Bengaluru.

Shailesh has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Shailesh can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Shailesh's family will cook lunch for the team. Thank you for reading my story.

          • Thinking of you. Gave what I could, wish it was more. After 24 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless
