Mangesh was diagnosed with severe cataracts in both eyes in March. The surgeon at Nagpur University Hospital recommended septoplasty, and He is scheduled for May. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,250, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,000 short.
my son has been in and out of Nagpur University Hospital since March. The doctors say severe cataracts in both eyes will get worse without septoplasty. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Mangesh struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Mangesh won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Mangesh.
