Andrea was diagnosed with severe cataracts in both eyes in November. The surgeon at Munich University Hospital recommended septoplasty, and She is scheduled for March. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $6,000, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $4,500 short.

While we wait, Andrea struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
