Amber needs septoplasty at Saint Catherine Hospital and the family is $3,800 short of the hospital's estimate.

Amber was diagnosed with a hernia that has become strangulated in October. The surgeon at Saint Catherine Hospital recommended septoplasty, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $5,000, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $3,800 short.
my mother has been in and out of Saint Catherine Hospital since October. The doctors say a hernia that has become strangulated will get worse without septoplasty. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $5,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Amber struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Amber won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
