School supplies and a laptop for Dipu in Gazipur
Dipu won a place at the Gazipur Selective School but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.
🇧🇩 Bangladesh1,894 views
Dipu earned a place in Year 10 at the Gazipur Selective School, and the family couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things He needs, including a laptop for the graphic design course, and a uniform.
The family has few resources; the list costs $100, which is more than they have.
Dipu loves graphic design and wants to become a marine biologist. A laptop will allow coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
He will take care of everything given and works very hard.
I'll buy the items from the school's approved supplier and post photos of everything.
Where the $100 goes:
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $10
• Laptop: $65
• Textbooks and workbooks: $25
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Good news. Because of your gifts ($45 in total) the plan for laptop is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Dipu.
It's all in the list in the story. calculator, stationery and a school bag is the big one at $10, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Appreciate you taking the time.
Wishing you the best. Your post was clear and honest. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. God bless
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Greetings from Sacramento.
you're not alone, Asif. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Blessings.

Shared it with a few friends. Thinking of Gazipur.
Stay strong, Asif. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
Good luck, Asif. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. All the best
Shared it with a few friends. We're a small family in Tema but we're thinking of you. Thinking of Gazipur.
reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 12 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Gazipur.
Thinking of you and your family. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. God bless
