Miles, my uncle, passed away on 20 July after a stroke. He was 63 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $3,700 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 29 July.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Miles to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the Edinburgh hospice.

• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $600
• Transport of the deceased: $510
