Jade, my grandmother, passed away on 29 August after a long fight with kidney disease. She was 74 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $3,900 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 9 September.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Jade to have a dignified farewell.
