Gregory, my grandfather, passed away on 23 June after a road accident. He was 76 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $4,050 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 30 June.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Gregory to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the New York hospice.

• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,200
• Transport of the deceased: $270
• Memorial gathering for the family: $180
