Ali, my father, passed away on 8 July after a road accident. He was 57 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $2,050 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 13 July.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Ali to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program.
Where the $2,050 goes:
• Funeral home services and casket: $1,200
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $580
• Transport of the deceased: $90
• Memorial gathering for the family: $180
