Save Sunny: Kamau can't afford the emergency vet
Sunny, Kamau's rabbit, needs urgent treatment for a foreign object blocking the intestines costing $300.

Sunny is my rabbit of three years. On 13 May we rushed to Kampala Animal Hospital with a foreign object blocking the intestines. The vet recommends orthopedic surgery, and the estimate came to $300.
They have stabilized Sunny, but the treatment can't wait beyond July.
Sunny is more than a pet - Sunny is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $50 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Kampala Animal Hospital's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $300 goes:
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $40
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $70
• Emergency surgery: $190
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

keep going. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Take care.
sending good thoughts, Kamau. Poor Sunny, hope they feel better soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best.
Best of luck. Shared this with my family. Greetings from Warsaw.
