Sunny is my tabby kitten of eleven years. On 11 July we rushed to Johannesburg Animal Hospital with a broken leg after a road accident. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $550.
They have stabilized Sunny, but the treatment can't wait beyond September.
Sunny is more than a pet - Sunny is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $35 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Johannesburg Animal Hospital's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $550 goes:
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $90
• Emergency surgery: $430
• Medication and follow-up visits: $30
