Save Archie: Mark can't afford the emergency vet
A dog named Archie needs emergency surgery - a $450 bill the family can't cover.

Archie is my dog of three years. On 8 September we rushed to the Durban Emergency Vet Clinic with bloat. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $450.
They have stabilized Archie, but the treatment can't wait beyond November.
Archie is more than a pet - Archie is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $30 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to the Durban Emergency Vet Clinic's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $450 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $250
• Hospitalization (4 nights): $75
• Medication and follow-up visits: $50
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $75
Thanks for reading all this.

Keep going, Mark. Poor Archie, hope they feel better soon. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Blessings.
Take care, Mark. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'm in teaching myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you
stay strong, Mark. Give Archie a hug from me. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best.
