Satish's hip replacement surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
Satish needs hip replacement surgery at Tiruchirappalli University Hospital and the family is $400 short of the hospital's estimate.

Satish was diagnosed with severe cataracts in both eyes in August. The surgeon at Tiruchirappalli University Hospital recommended hip replacement surgery, and He is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $530, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $400 short.
my father has been in and out of Tiruchirappalli University Hospital since August. The doctors say severe cataracts in both eyes will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $530 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Satish struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Satish won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $400 goes:
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $310
• Post-operative medication: $45
• Travel and lodging for the family: $45
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
