Saraswathi can't leave home - help build a ramp
Help Saraswathi regain independence: a simple ramp build.
๐ฎ๐ณ Saket, Delhi, India601 views
Saraswathi has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Saraswathi can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Saraswathi's family will cook lunch for the team.

reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I hope July is when things finally get easier. Thinking of Saket
