Sani needs a guide into accounting - monthly calls

A mentor in accounting could help Sani with a portfolio, interviews and first-job strategy.

I have worked as a hospitality worker for 6 years, and I'm 48. After years of wanting more, I decided to move into accounting, and I have completed a self-study course with a project portfolio. What I'm missing is someone who has walked this path: feedback on my capstone project, a realistic view of the job market in Kano, and a sounding board when things feel overwhelming. I'm hoping for one 45-minute video call a month for four months, plus the occasional email question. I'll bring specific questions and I won't waste your time. All I can offer back is my thanks, and I'll mentor someone else once I'm settled. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

  • Thinking of you, Sani. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
