Samuel needs a lift to the Los Angeles Kidney Centre - can you help one day a week?

A rota of drivers to the Los Angeles Kidney Centre would keep Samuel on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Samuel has been on dialysis for 1 years and until recently drove to the Los Angeles Kidney Centre alone. After a minor stroke, Samuel can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 11 km each way. Samuel is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

                      • hope it all works out. I hope things turn around soon. After 23 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
