Saanvi's path to healing - family counseling in Wollongong
Saanvi is working through a house fire and needs help paying for 10 sessions with a licensed counselor.
🇦🇺 Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia538 views
After a house fire, Saanvi has struggled with anxiety, sleep and panic attacks. The doctor has referred her to family counseling, but the public waiting list is 8 months, and private sessions at the Wollongong Counselling Collective cost $100 each.
Saanvi has been honest with her employer and taken some time off, but can't keep going without support.
Therapy has already helped a little in the sessions Saanvi could afford. The therapist recommends 10 weekly sessions, and consistent help will make the difference.
Asking for help with this has been the hardest part for Saanvi, and we're grateful for your kindness without judgment.
The money will be paid directly to the counselor's practice, with a session-by-session record.
Where the $2,250 goes:
• 10 therapy sessions: $2,000
• Psychiatric assessment: $220
• Workbook and resources: $30
With deep gratitude,
Kiara

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Saanvi.
The list at the bottom is the whole picture. 10 therapy sessions is the biggest at $2,000. Good question.
wishing you the best, Kiara. Shared this with my family. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
Gave what I could, wish it was more. I hope April is when things finally get easier!
hope it all works out, Kiara. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. After 30 years in hospitality I know how hard it is to ask for anything. God bless.
Best of luck, Kiara. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. It's not much but it's yours. Love from San Diego
