Ruth needs my ride-share car repaired to get back to work in Mombasa
Ruth drives for a living in Mombasa, and a broken gearbox has stopped all income for 3 weeks.

I make my living with my ride-share car. 3 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $250. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $250 goes:
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $40
• Labor charges: $65
• gearbox replacement (parts): $145
Every share and every dollar helps.
