Khulna
For four years I have run a laundry service in Khulna. In October, the demolition of the market took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 10 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go. Where the $500 goes: • Replacing two washing machines and a dryer: $220 • Initial stock: detergent and packaging: $100 • Shop repairs and licensing: $90 • Working capital for the first month: $90 Thank you for reading my story. - Rubel

  1. Quick update: $103 raised so far (21%). I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

  2. We're at 16% thanks to 4 of you. I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts. More news soon.

  3. Good news. Because of your gifts ($68 in total) I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

Hope things get better soon, Rubel. Hope you get there. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
