Rotimi served ten years; now needs help to get home
Rotimi served ten years in the marines; $600 would cover a trained service dog and handler course.

I served ten years in the marines and was discharged in 2024 with post-traumatic stress. I have been waiting nine months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a trained service dog and handler course. The quote I have comes to $600.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $600 goes:
• Housing deposit and first month: $320
• Transport to appointments: $55
• Training provider fees: $225
Thanks for being kind about this.

Wishing you the best, Rotimi. Shared it with a few friends.
Keep going, Rotimi. Your post was clear and honest. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
Thinking of you and your family. Gave what I could, wish it was more. God bless!
