I'm six months into recovery from stimulant addiction. I attend meetings and see a counselor, but the weeks between meetings are the hardest. I'd love a mentor - someone who has a year or more of recovery and who would be willing to talk once a week. I'm not looking for a replacement for treatment. I'm looking for someone who understands what a bad Tuesday night feels like. I'd prefer someone who's happy to do video calls. Any country is fine. I'll be respectful of your time and boundaries, and happy to pay it forward later. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

I hope things turn around soon. I have a 16 year old who wants to send good wishes too.

    • Hope the doctors have good news. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings.

      • So sorry you're going through this. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Thinking of Dublin!

        • Good luck, Rory. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did.

          • So sorry you're going through this, Rory. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. After 21 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Greetings from Vancouver.
