Roofing help wanted: Zahra's home in Jakarta Barat
The roof at Zahra's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.
🇮🇩 Jakarta Barat, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia1,492 views
I'm a home-care aide living in Jakarta Barat. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the kitchen is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $950, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for a small crew who can help over one long weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
I hope life is good to you.

So sorry you're going through this. It takes guts to ask. Well done. After 13 years in customer support I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Wishing you the best, Zahra. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from San Francisco
