I'm a retired bus driver living in Los Angeles. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $3,400, which isn't something I can pay. The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over a weekend. Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks. The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Thinking of you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I'm in engineering myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.

    • Keep going, Violet. Looking forward to the next update. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Take care.
