Could you spare three weekday mornings to help repair a leaking roof in Lagos?

Lagos
I'm a night-shift nurse living in Lagos. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $690, which isn't something I can pay. The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over three weekday mornings. Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks. The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too. Thanks for being kind about this.

  • Thinking of you and your family, Usman. Gave what I could, wish it was more. God bless.

    • Sending love, Usman. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. We're a small family in Fort Worth but we're thinking of you. Greetings from Fort Worth.

Thinking of you. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Thinking of Lagos.
