Roofing help wanted: Theo's home in Düsseldorf
The roof at Theo's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a home-care aide living in Düsseldorf. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the kitchen is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $3,050, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Thanks for sharing this. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I have a 10 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. God bless.
Sending good thoughts, Theo. Looking forward to the next update. Please keep us posted. Greetings from Gdańsk
Thinking of you and your family. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Bogotá.
Good luck, Theo. I hope things turn around soon. I hope November is when things finally get easier
