I'm a night-shift nurse living in Cali. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $600, which isn't something I can pay. The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over one long weekend. Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks. The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  • Hope things get better soon, Teresa. Your post was clear and honest. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money

    • Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Wish I lived closer to Chiang Mai so I could bring a meal.

Hang in there, Teresa. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I'm in construction myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
