Roofing help wanted: Rubina's home in Dhaka
Rubina, a night-shift nurse, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 2-weekend roof repair in Dhaka.

I'm a night-shift nurse living in Dhaka. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $410, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over a weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Thank you so much.

Hang in there. Shared it with a few friends. I'll check back for the next update. God bless.
Stay strong. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We're a small family in Dhaka but we're thinking of you. All the best.
Hope it all works out, Rubina. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Greetings from Addis Ababa.
