Roofing help wanted: Rose's home in Arusha
Rose, a night-shift nurse, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 1-weekend roof repair in Arusha.

I'm a night-shift nurse living in Arusha. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the kitchen is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $430, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over two Saturdays.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

You're not alone. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I hope May is when things finally get easier. Greetings from Cork.
sending strength, Rose. Hope this works out for you. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. All the best
