Roofing help wanted: Rajesh's home in Mumbai
Rajesh, a night-shift nurse, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 1-weekend roof repair in Mumbai.

I'm a night-shift nurse living in Mumbai. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $900, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the corrugated iron sheets and timber. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over two Saturdays.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Thinking of you and your family, Rajesh. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better.
You're not alone, Rajesh. I hope things turn around soon. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Take care.
Keep going, Rajesh. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Greetings from Lagos
