Roofing help wanted: Radha's home in Mumbai
Could you spare two Saturdays to help repair a leaking roof in Mumbai?
๐ฎ๐ณ Maharashtra, India1,410 views
I'm a school janitor living in Mumbai. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $420, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over two Saturdays.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
I hope life is good to you.

You're not alone, Radha. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Put this on a community board in Gazipur this morning. Blessings.
Hope things get better soon, Radha. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. All the best.
sending good thoughts. Hope you get there. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. God bless
Sending strength, Radha. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Take care.
Sending love. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Love from Giza.
