Roofing help wanted: Rachel's home in Kansas City
The roof at Rachel's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a retired bus driver living in Kansas City. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $2,850, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over one long weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

you're not alone, Rachel. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better.
wishing you peace, Rachel. Looking forward to the next update. Wish I lived closer to Fort Portal so I could bring a meal. Take care
