Roofing help wanted: Rabia's home in Rawalpindi
Rabia, a single mother of three, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 2-weekend roof repair in Rawalpindi.

I'm a single mother of three living in Rawalpindi. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $280, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for a small crew who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Looking forward to the next update. Put this on a community board in Fukuoka this morning
Stay strong. Looking forward to the next update. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Thinking of Rawalpindi.
Thinking of you and your family. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. God bless
A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Sent it to 28 people at work. Take care.
So sorry you're going through this. Gave what I could, wish it was more. It's not much but it's yours. All the best
thanks for sharing this, Rabia. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. It's not much but it's yours. God bless.
