Roofing help wanted: Opio's home in Arusha
Could you spare one long weekend to help repair a leaking roof in Arusha?

I'm a widowed grandmother living in Arusha. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $510, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for a small crew who can help over one long weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

wishing you peace, Opio. Hope you get there. I have a 7 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
Hope things get better soon, Opio. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend.
Take care, Opio. This could happen to any of us
